Judge Denise Hernández is a community-rooted, progressive Democrat running for re-election.

Raised in a working-class family directly impacted by the court system, Judge Hernández brings lived experience to the bench, carrying with her a deep understanding of how the system impacts everyday people. Her work is grounded in the belief that justice should center human dignity and meet people where they are.

She has led transformative efforts within the justice system, leading trauma-informed practices and training across the courthouse, and worked with community organizations to expand vital resources for system-impacted youth.
